Achtung Panzer Supplement turns back time

Well, Iron Coffins provides a gateway back into the earlier war years by bringing s host of vehicles not covered in the original game.  Also rules and scenarios for desert. jungle. winter and city  fighting are presented.  Thematic ambush terrain beckons to be built. .

As with the original game,  the expansion is dependent on a set of cards which layout the vehicles covered.

My own stable which includes Polish, French , Russian, English and German  armor in the 1939 to 1943 period. Now my BT7 can prowl for the Pzkw II.  My Char bis and Somuas are slated fighting Mark II's & III's.

I can even extrapolate some Vichy vehicles  by adjusting some British portee trucks. Tanake anyone?

It will allow me to run as far back as the Spanish Civil War,  again with an eye to creating cards for vehicles not covered.  I could even imagine VBCW era games with contraptions tooling down country lanes.

To fully use the supplement, the expansion card deck for early war vehicles is needed.  If your kits include pre 1944 vehicles. this one's for you.

While it's Bolt Action based, the graininess built in to the rules gives them their own flavor. I think the use of the mdf 'cockpits ' help organize the game play. Ahhh, more toys, same amount of time!

Could you come to the use of 'stand ins'?
Best wishes, James

As in proxy the models? Have done that a lot, over the years if that is what you mean.

It was a bit obscure, sorry. Yeah, simply that. To help with the models vs time 'conundrum'!

Actually, I can happily go down scale to 20mm and cover a lot on both sides. Or even 15mm for desert battles. Saves me the bother of painting replicates in the 28mm scale! I even have suitable terrain . I really am glad they (Warlord) published the packet of supplement and cards.

Sounds like a ton of fun, especially if you've already got the vehicles!
