100th post, and I pulled the string....

Cognizant that I was close to a record number of posts this year, I was trying to decide what to cover.

I had been deciding what to include in a kickstarter and wanting to acquire something a little removed from present projects, I did bite the bullet just yesterday and have ordered a Tyrolean army 'plus sprinkles' (yes, Peter, cows and goats) as a project for next year.

And now you are reading my 100th post of the year.

If you've not seen the KS, there are still 2 days left. If you like offbeat or Nappies in general, it is worth the look.

Now to plan to model some convincing terrain.

Congrats on the record breaking post total Peter....I was on track to do the same, I thought, but the last three weeks I kind of lost my hobby mojo and posting has dropped off a bit. These figures certainly look very nice but how will you use them? To me, the whole episode suggests skirmish level type engagements, maybe using rules like Sharpe Practice?

Sorry about the name change Joe....its late at night here!

That look really great, but given the lengthy lead times these Kickstarters tends to have getting product out the door, I fear this might be a 2024 project for you!
Congratulations on post #100 and enjoy your Tyrolean Adventure!

Keith, as I often discover ...late nights lead to mistakes...as long as you don't 'call me late to dinner' I'll be fine. As to what we will do with 'em--I confess, 'Chosen Men' and maybe some 'Silver Bayonet' as one of the the goats appear a dead ringer for "Prince Charles' in "The Witch." Roger has a huge Bavarian force to chose from as the classic enemy. Maybe even a twisted version of 'Heidi' or is that flying too close to the sun?

Ski, with an April 2023 shipping deadline and two other on time KS for Piano WargamesI am hopeful. I am waiting the second time myself for a year late KS from AD1666; second time same outfit, so shame on me.

Jonathan, thanks. It was a silent goal of mine to do that this year. 2023 is for more in depth if fewer posts....but still at least weekly. After all, I need to delineate all these Tyroleans at play.

Congratulations on the 100, your post Joe encouraged me to look back as I deliberately don’t keep any close record of what I post/do. Twice a week seems about right minus those weeks away on holiday etc……I’m not one for work in progress unless it is something really special

Ray, I really enjoy your take on Haiti... hopefully the Tyrol will be a fun visit.

Matt, I often sit and gape in wonder at some of the painting/modeling/game layout I see, with a lot of it from your blog. I'd agree the finished product is something to shoot for in posting! Mostly I had looked back on years with few posts and realized they had been busy with other things but also as missed opportunities to share. So now that I have hit my magic number, I will go for completeness.

"Sprinkles" are good. :-)
Lucas' track record for on time delivery on his Kickstarters is outstanding; they have all been on time within at most 30 days. I would be shocked if the figures aren't in hand by June at the absolute latest! It helps that the figures are all designed and he already started casting some before launching the Kickstarter.

Oh, and congrats on 1oo posts. That's about what I aim for per year, assuming I have something to say!
