Well, actually these aircraft are part of the projected campaign setting for the Eastern Solomons. Wildcats, Dauntless and Avenger aircraft are in and primed.
Actually these aircraft are moving along with the theme for each squadron base coated.
P40's, although the colors are more North Africa than Eastern Solomon's.
Several other types of fighters are still in procurement stages. The P400's, Brewster Buffaloes and a PBY Catalina are just plans right now.
There's also a squadron of F6F Hellcat fighters in the painting queue. The Hellcat will bring the Naval aircraft to 1944-45 scenarios. where it replaces the Wildcat.
The most recent acquisition, the Aircobra , which served in the P400 model in the theater.
I have a pretty thorough O.O.B. for the island's air units, provided by my friend Roger.
