Catching up on thanking

Thanks to all of you wishing my wife's recovery from knee surgery.

She's been up and walking around the house  these few days after her procedure.

Now after a very cold week and the storm's 15 inches of snow,  if I know her she'll be waiting to get out soon,  even in the cold.

And for those who are all about the photos,  a quick look at the mechs by unit color scheme.

Good to the that recovery is going well. Fifteen inches of snow is quite a lot in one storm. Out West, we have had a relatively mild winter with very little snow. Will that all change in February? I guess we will see. The local ski resorts would certainly appreciate more snow.

Looking good Joe, I don't like the sound of 15 inches of snow! Give my best to your Mrs in her recovery.

It is not unusual to get a storm with over 12 inches most seasons. Thankfully, 15 to 18 inches at once comes less frequently, as the annual 'normal' amount is 40 inches a season. We had bee very lucky the last two years, with small storms bringing 3 to 5 inches at a time and under 18 inches in total for the seasons.

You are right about the skiers, smiles are bigger since the storm.

Keith,
We are both lucky in our choice of spouse. She is up and around today, adjusting down on her pain meds and angling for getting the ok to drive on Friday after three 'whole' weeks . Far cry from the six weeks when she had her first knee replaced.

Ray,
thank you I will pass on your greeting! 15 inches is bad, but the storm had no ice and was less treacherous than some.

BTW lovely Finns

Good news but I wouldn’t suggest walking far in snow with a healing knee. Nice mechs 👍

Good news about your wifes knee and great looking mechs, hows the Leipzig build going?
Best Iain

Matt, I agree with...walking in snow is best left to others at this point.
Thanks for the kind words about the mechs.

Iain,
thanks for your kind words on the mechs. The Leipzig project , well I have id'd the figures I will paint as the attackers. Looks like I have them if I divert them from the original expansion of the Swedish 1813 build. I have several units in queue before I can start working on them. 2026 is starting to look like I might have some more time structured to Napoleonics in general. My wife is very excited to be mending as well as she is.

And yet I still have not lost the thrill of the Alpha Strike rules!
