Scouring Sands Supplement certainly seems satisfactory for solo situations

Alpha Strike Battletech has taken up a large fraction of my gaming experience in late 2025 .

I had the advantage of several you tube channels showing parts of game  play and mechanics.   The supplement contains rules for solo play and some background and rules for having campaign play. Both of these initiatives are something I find attractive, Solo play allows me to set up and tear down games and proceed at my own pace. I was curious as to the support for campaigns was given. I was pleased to see that the Alpha Strike  level of detail is present, but that several rather nit picky campaign rules from other supplements were not present.

El Guettar

This unit of mercenary battle robots dressed in camouflage used in hiding in fields of crabgrass.

Re:(Elephants in red sneakers in strawberry patches)

The theme of the supplement a collection of mercenary units on one side versus a combination of 'clan' and you guessed it, other mercenary units.

The Blue & White Mice

Actually a riff on the Bavarian state Polizei motorcycle units Riding Leathers look.  Back in the '70's, anyway.

Monochromatic and red.  I know there is a backstory in there somewhere.

Hmmm,  monochromatic and green. Lush swamp or grassland are probably not too far off.

The opportunity is there for me to add in units to either side from a pool of units where I can use the background fluff for either side.  Only a local unit  would require a specific singular history.

So the units can be what they (I) can make them, or I can make use of the Master Unit list masterunitlist.info an online free listing of units that have been dreamed up to unit name, composition and paint schemes. Since the beginning of recorded space.

This is what happens when white out conditions keep you cooped up in between bouts of shoveling snow.

Storm from January 12 inches, hanging on until 18th of February.

I mean, we are dealing with it.

But another ten inches? This last weekend added up.

Somewhere out there is a Dachshund pining for spring.
