 All three of the Friday Old Guys were at Tabletop Games with SIlver Bayonet as the main course.

Roger's company barely got involved.  Greg took the fight to the beast, suffered the loss of his leader,  though some excellent post game rolling restored him to the roster. Oh yes, his leader had found the  Sword of  Gawaine.

My troops were about to arrive when the game ended. I was OK with that.  

Post game, we decided to send for help, in essence a reboot  to the campaign.  Greg says ,most of the other scenes have special ot

Neil, the combination of the Lindworm being tough and mean and the pixie preventing technology makes the scenario uniquely tough. And hilarious when you realize how badly positioned you are.

It is difficult to 'get the' scenarios in Silver Bayonet without a bit more than what I gave out

Yes, iain, it was one of many times I held back. But at times I am the most forward. Great to pick up the lead guys and try again. With little to no consequences.

The rules would work as a skirmishing set if you reduce the horror components. That said. It does especially good work at setting the situation.
