Battle Road progress
Just when you think your plans are set. Something changes.
Gosh there are a lot of windows in these models. Taking a break from panes and sashes of the buildings, I started to model the Grenadiers. Utilizing the Perry plastic figures I had put on stands some bodies and had planned to add the arms when something marvelous happened.
One of my local gaming friends dropped off enough metal figures for the two units needed! Even had the officers and a drummer in the mix. Half of them are even primed.
New plans, the plastic figures will be the relief force, which consists of regimental center companies from several battalions.
I had brought some models to work with and slap some paint on to the local store. I ran into two friends, Greg H and Edgar.
The occasion was marked by a lot of reminiscing and some plotting with Edgar, Greg H., and Ron, the store manager.
The list of possible games to play in the very open game area was discussed, some possible games include:
Napoleonic tactical games. Also showcasing the Imagination campaign we have going.
Wars of Ozz ...more chances to use my giant Pumpkins. Greg's gnomes are also ready.
World War 2 - Bolt Action, Command Decision, Cross Fire, Blood Red Skies, Cruel Seas.
Pulp games in several versions of favorite rules.
Not a bad afternoon, even if I didn't paint any models.
Pike and Shot games. To include a mini campaign with Ron and the store's expanding epic scale collection.
What fun, and a promising New Year.
