It is Monday night and we still have not fought Friday's game

Just a rant: ice, snow and wind, all three days at times all three pieces of the weather.

Today featured a dig out in some very windy, below  freezing conditions.  There was consumption of hot chocolate today. The rest of the week forecasts no day reaching the freezing mark for the high temperature! So much for the three day weekend.

Yesterday we woke up to no heat from the new ( October 2024) furnace.  A harried service man arrived and solved the problem,  before we had any damage done by the cold. Can't wait to see what the bill will be. ($333!)

My friend's wife had fallen and hurt her knee,  she's on the mend but is in some sort of pain.  Just keeps on spreading, the joy of February.

Misery all over. Even the dog has no interest in going out to do what needs to be done.

I have added Key West to my weather watch app just for hope.

No photos, I could only wish these last four days had not happened.

Sounds like winter blues to me Joe, and sorry to hear about the run of bad luck. I have managed to spend well over $1000 on repairs myself over the past few days, so know what you are going through.

Ouch! There is always someone worse off, I was always told.

You're right. You have to go farther into the woods to reach the other side.

You may not have noticed with all the terrible weather, but it is noticeably getting longer days. I'm finally emerging from functional hibernation myself. Stay true to the cause!

Dave, yes I track the extra minutes of sunshine almost daily. My dachshund, Val,helps me by waking at dawn. Very insistently wanting to go ' out ' and then back in, for a treat. And then she naps until 10!

Dear me - this probably won't help AT ALL, Joe - but here, I am struggling to sleep at night, as the overnight low sits at 18c - currently, at 2355, its 20c! Better go to bed and try to sleep, I guess!

My local weather ap says " 18 F , with windchill feels like 6 F" !
I am going outside to work the inch and a half of ice off of the 3 inch snowfall. Then I can get the snow off the driveway, come inside warm up, do it again. It will get warm again, here, someday.
Just got delivery yesterday of 240 gallons of heating oil, @ us$3.49 per gallon.
Sleep tight!

Sleep tight! Maybe I will revisit one of your tourist board entries.
