Randomly generated for a soloing afternoon
Well, I really wanted to produce a strafing attack using Blood Red Skies, the Krasnograd Chronicle. For some reason the idea had not been realized until recently.
What follows is some random 15mm Italian WW2 forces being struck by 1/200 scale Migs , all on test 4 inch hexes last used in a micro armor game.
I didn't like the " hexagony " due to the ill fitting terrain hexes. I did get to walk through the rules for light Flak batteries and their suppression .
This experience will come in handy when I get back to the Blitz on Lilliput.
The concept is an attack on the light battery represented by the AA sections.
Bersegliarie Motorcyclisti are crossing at the time of attack, adding to the chaos of the minute.
The phone camera has captured he presence of a flesh colored cloud!
Its a real hodgepodge, for a solo effort I was not worried about the complete look, although I will use better if I try the scenario out.
The colored disks on the airplanes are an artifact of the Blood Red Skies game. If the fighters can suppress the flak, the PE-2 Squadron will be more effective against the bridge. But that is another game.
The company mounted on motorcycles are old metal Flames of War figures, more on them later.

I remember, right back in the early days of FoW, they made a true 15mm scale Stuka....it looked enormous...almost as big as 1/72...and even though it was in true scale to the figures and tanks, they very soon changed to using 1/144 aircraft instead!
