tables for the table

Painfully obvious or obtuse, the title means that for the majority of the map terrain used in the Western Military District, the terrain is 'clear' although it beggars imagination there are no features in these areas to put on the table. A village, stream, woods, isolated industrial factory. rise , valley, hill; all these things could occur.

The lined area above would be an example of clear hexes.

So in order to provide a little flavor to these areas, I will use a table to generate a few points of interest in a given map hexagon.

The table will have 20 choices as a D20 will make the selection.  There will be a decision on how many rolls will be made.  Yes, probably a d6 roll.

i will then map out the likely approaches  to several of the first objective towns to be fought over. The number of towns detailed will be from 4 to 6 .

Since the major rivers are on hex sides, adjustments can be made for more streams.

The players are  receiving their units order of battle,  a map and field orde will  follow.
