A little painting progress.

Artillery crew getting ready for deployment.  Austrian foot battery crew, Piano Miniatures.

Mounted fellow is from the Tyrolean leaders set, the only one mounted.  Starting small with a battery seemed to be the way to go.  only my third battery for the Austrian army in fifty years of gaming.

Martin Telmer von Wildau and friends.

His horse needs work, I know!

We'll need some guns to serve.

Touch ups,  straps and mounting to go.

Nicely done and I think after 50 years they deserve another battery 👍

Great work on these so.far, Joe. Not sure if you have oaid a recent visit, but Mark at 1866 blog has just posted a very nice Perry Austrian Wurst gun crew.
As Tony says, the sculpting looks terrific as does your brushwork. Your Austrians need more guns!

Matt, thank you, and I do have a plan.

Tony & Jonathan, thanks for the kind words.

Keith, thanks for your support, I am a regular visitor to Mark's blog. He has a tremendous output and I just saw his recent team. I like the way he plans things out, and the solution to the too short base was classic.

Jonathan, I do have a pending plan on the Austrians in the collection. As always, more later.

Looking good; I don’t think I got the mounted officer. I don’t really need any more Austrians, but still got enough lead for another battery myself, plus 3 line and a Landwehr unit. 😁

Great looking figures Joe.

Peter, the officer is hiding in the Tyrolean characters pack. I did pick up a pack of line, carinthian Landwehr and Jagers, all in skirmish poses.
