Grumbles and Gainfull.

Not just alliteration but the recent increase in Russian resources for the 70's,  80's setting of the Great Unfought War.  They will not be game changers but they will look cool on the table,  especially the Grumble.

Playing the Micro armor Modern rules includes 'adding on assets'  guidelines.  Using these Antiaircraft units will mean NATO gets something 'in return'.  Sigh!

Meanwhile, out in the Imagination Sea, Map card 27A.

 Image

The card has a small curl at the bottom, visible in the photo.

Crusty  busy island with a land atlas  of  the great naval bays in and around the island of Davik, this week's objective for Daharra. Discussing with Roger the likelihood of a protracted landing and raid, I felt another version of the map  was in order. So out came the colored pencils and the new blank page book. A slightly larger format to save eyesight and record local color during what may be an extended stay.  The atlas is id'd as a guide to details.

Obviously a different orientation.

The island is the home of the light infantry tactical school.  As such, the two light battalions not part of the 1813 campaign are posted on the island and maybe will appear moving against any hostile units.

( Yeah, like I wouldn't use them. )

No more posts until after Thursday,  it is Thanksgiving and I will be busy keeping up my duty as turkey eater.

Nice additions both for the Warsaw Pact and the new map. I'll be looking forward to further reports of what surprises you have in store for Roger.
Turkey Eater is a full time job, for two days at least.

Lawrence, Glad you like the map. It will be back, as the story unfolds. I am happy that some of you enjoy the Imagination details, they do represent a fair deal of our local focus. As for the SAM's I do hope to at least fire them before the NATO magic missiles get them.
