AD1666 factions----the Spaniards

Continuation of  the look at the factions, next up is that of the  Spanish.

Leadership is represented by El Capitan, a veteran of the long conflicts, including the new and old worlds.  Unusual for factions,  he can be hired out as a mercenary.

He is backed up by two ancient bravos, Don Quixote and Sancho Panza.  He can also count on El Baratero and the knives that come with him. Knives that never seem to run out.

Sancho has a blunderbuss,  short in range but deadly. He is sure to be underestimated for many jobs requiring people skills.

The Don of Quixote is fragile under his armor but can be murderous in melee.

Also in attendance is Francisca, an Indian expert with the blogun, and Catalina, a study in contrasts .  Given the inhabitants are unknown to the Spanish,  the group relies on its hidalgoes for muscle.

Francisca is able to be inconspicuous,  getting the threat nullified before they are aware of danger.  Best of all, bloguns are silent in use and don't trigger alarms.

Catalina is armed with a Halberd, knows how to use it and is gifted with a skill that Porthos and Longinous have.

No pushover.

The hidalgoes are able to shoot and influence beyond their station.  A Cabo is available for small business and secondary objectives.

An interesting, mixed bunch with skill various. Love those 'en garde' poses amongst the Hidalgoes.

The Spanish lend themselves to thinking ahead, bur once stuck in are more than capable.

I did manage to get them all. The game has such a scope, and if I was better at scenario writing such potential for more. The later shown factions deserve more fanfare. More factions to come, I wonder which will be my favorite to play this year?
