AD1666 Factions---The Ottomans

The Sublime Port sent a delegation to try to influence events in Vienna during the election. As part of the entourage sent, a core of heroes and guards were available to ensure safety of its diplomats, and other tasks as identified (cough, cough ).

The Ottoman faction is very different from the mix of factions so far, and less often played due to the sheer number of other factions.

The leader of the faction is not the strongest member, unlike say the King's Musketeers or the Defenders of the Crown.  There are two

Two heroes, adding bow firepower and melee potential.

A Deli ( right ) and the Aga ( left   )
The Deli is truly terrific in melee.

Three stalwart Janissaries.

Terrific range with the muskets and excellent melee capabilities as well. Similar to other factions, you can have more of them, provided you can afford them.

Solak and Esmerelda.

Esmerelda favors throwing knives for combat, has three, which makes her a bit more than meets the eye.  The Solak is also baby sitting .  .the leader.

The poet  Hatmi and the Sorcerer Ibrahim.

Necromanicon is in his hand. The Sorcerer is an evil character,  with a secret agenda all his own.

Hatmi will protect Esmerelda as far as he is able to,  I suspect he is competent in his duties.

This faction is a lot of fun to play, I need to get to them more often.

Iain, thank you! I guess the butterfly can be a good thing, from airplanes gull wings to Ottoman lists for the 17th century. Great that we all have different tastes.
