A quick game of Blood Red Skies

Barry and Roger made it over , a Battle of Britain scenario. We were rusty starting off but quickly got back up to speed.

Roger ran the ME109 's and Barry's Hurricanes were attempting to break through to  the He 111 bombers which I controlled.

Despite some awesome maneuvering, on turn six the Hurricanes broke off, having accumulated enough overall damage.  The Heinkels got through, this time. Playing time was about 90 minutes

Next up will be the Russians and Germany

Oh, lovely Battle of Britain game!

That doesn't sound like the classic film.....Sir Keith Park (a New Zealander) would not be happy!

Glad you liked it Michal. I got so interested in the game I forgot to photograph the squadron activity. And I flew the bombers, only needed to be slow and straight!

Keith, it was so close, and the match ups were likely to be repeated soon.

Jonathan,
The rules will make a good game. The level of detail is not overwhelming at the level of play.
The advantage mechanism is elegant. The one supplement adds so much fun to the gamer's arsenal that it almost mandatory. You can create your favorite squadron, going to other brands 1/200 scale models .
I have frankly been busy settling up US, Russian, , Italian and most recently German units.. My long suffering friends have been putting British and Japanese on the table.
There are other rules that focus on one model per player or very detailed rules for technical parts of flying .The game allows a player to run from two to six planes in a flight, and if time permits or,e than one flight. Does that help?

I’ve flown a couple of bombing missions…
Funny thing is … All my aeroplanes end up on the ground…. On Fire…😳😆

All the best. Aly

Crash & Burn is quite often my destination in these games. Really get some furballs going if people have say more than 12 planes on a side.
