Daharra Strikes! Three more battles along the frontier!

Well, the title kind'a snuck up on me, not terribly original but it does have a ring to it. This post  is mostly for my imagination campaign members, but others can read on and live vicariously through our efforts & shenanigans.

While the battle of Southbridge (17A23) took place and ended in a Daharran victory, other, smaller columns met at various border crossings.

The battles all take place simultaneously with a follow up fight to SouthBridge battle (17A18). The strategic situation is shown on the following map.

Red lines denote Daharran routes or blocking positions, blue represents the Empire forces.  As you can see, the loss of the bridge in 17A23 has not allowed the central Daharran column much advantage, another defended river line must be crossed.  Smaller actions are to be fought in 17A22 and 17A25.

I realistically should come up with more place names for this area as there will be a bunch of battles here over the next several campaign moves.

The Daharran columns are distressingly close to an Empire city.  Can they be stopped?  Will the overland threat to the only base of the Daharran navy have any effect in the coming moves? How do the forces compare in the upcoming battles?

Of course, more later.

Looks like this will lead up to some intersting battles, Joe.

With a little care, the scenarios should be pretty good fights. Roger, the Daharran commander is really going for a full court press here.
It would be splendid if I won them all, as well!

There won't be a battle post for a little while, we are doing a couple weeks of Stargrave as an intro to the system. The good news there is it gives me time for color on the K&K forces, local landmark names, etc.

A25 looks like it will be a tough nut to crack based purely on the terrain. Attacking across a bridge then immediately onto hills sounds yuck. I imagine that is why there is the nearby force trying to ford the river.

Looking forward to updates when they happen!

Armies are being made up, games are scheduled for October. Plenty of time to create backstory.

I am enjoying following this one vicariously, it's interesting even when not involved.
I get the impression that the Daharran left hook has been successfully blocked, while the Empire's own left hook looks to be barely opposed, or have I interpreted it incorrectly?

Daharra is pretty committed to a straight ahead push , I think Roger's ultimate aim is a land grab. Which pretty much falls into line with my original idea in the campaign setting.

As playing the Empire 'ruler' (at this point) I do confess to having a soft spot for flanking maneuvers.
