20mm WW1 Russians and Soviet WW2 Naval infantry

Following up on Imagination Blitz. Some WW1 Russian in Adrian helmet,  some Sailors. These will represent nations in the Imagination groundwork.  There is a lot of rebasing and some dry brushwork to put some highlights on the drab brown uniforms.

 In Adrian helmet.

Russian Sailors in field dress.

There are machine gun teams mortars and command figures in both uniforms. I look at probably two battalions in our game scale with some remounting to be made.  These units will be part of the army of either Tudor  or Fordor. There are also mortar and artillery stands to be added to the Army. The basing scheme of 40mm squares is from our Crossfire gaming.

There are about as many again in the white covered cap style.

Most of these were obtained from another gamer, who was downsizing. With all the units painted, I just need to organize and write up a backstory. So many games,  so little time. 😁

That looks like a good haul Joe, and they should tidy up nicely.

They look to be useful additions to your Imaginations Joe! Look forward to seeing them spruced up and reincarnated in due course!

Wow armies just keep tumbling out of boxes at your place 👍
Rebasing allows an almost new army with not as much effort. Someone’s downsizing is your gain!

I am very excited about the opportunity the figures represent, a whole new imagination with varying troops. I'd admit that there is more yet to come. I personally like to rebase, tastes and trends change. I have a lot of flock, static grass, etc in my cellar and a whole summer to glue things.

I like to rebase thigs too just so that al the bases across the collection are consistent. But getting all the miniatures from someone else is a great head start! 😀
