August continues with Partial game of Silver Bayonet, show & tell

Real smorgasbord here. Friday we started our take on the Silver Bayonet Carpathian release. We run these as three way events, usually very bloody and manageable within our 3 hour window on Fridays.

Show and tell had Greg displaying his recent purchases/painting of most of the new creatures for the Silver Bayonet upcoming games.  Roger showed his WOTR unit.

The scenario involved looking for and finding the lair of a certain wight, this particular one being worse than most. Only weapons blessed or enchanted had the ability to wound the creature. Drat, my band of bucko's is light on such fripperies.

  Sad to see such confusion.

We started playing only to note that all of us were rusty  ( kindly put) with the rules. As it was early in the game, adjournment to next  Friday was agreed upon.

Research determines the game system last used in December,  so there is our excuse.

More after tomorrow afternoon.  We finish off the wight , I hope!

Saturday I have a game of AD1666 scheduled for 1030 at Tabletop  Hobby in Newington.  Here are some new, some old figures with more licks of paint on them.

  New hero/villain from expansion.

Left, from monster hunter faction. Right an Apothecary

Night Watchman and schnauzer.

Some one definitely not having a good day.Front shot accidentally deleted from phone!

That was quite a mix. Keep us posted on the Silver Bayonet result. That last picture with the wings and apparently upside-down fella has me confused.

Nice sampling of stuff. It can be hard to remember a game one hasn’t played in awhile. 😀

Some nice show and tell - pity you had to abandon the game but look forward to seeing you finish off the "baddy" in the not-too-distant future, Joe!

Well now, I can report we finished the game, tale (sic) between our legs on the next Friday. We did better as we all had read at least some of the rules this time. The game requires the proper armaments, and the three bands had exactly two figures who could harm the wight.
Thanks for the kind words on the toys.
