AD1666 Act I. Scenario I

We turned the page after last Friday's fight  to discover so far it had been prologue to the story.  Luckily the first scenario is a party, I mean what could go wrong?

So the first three episodes (games)  were a prologue!  The fourth scenario is called Act I Scene I as things really heat up.

The garden.

Scenario background

 More game info.

Red team heroes, Wolodovski and Longinus from the Defenders of the Faith faction.

Supporting Dragoons.

Footman-they start as neutral,  can become red team resources.

Favius (left) and Thibeault (right) will duel this day. And did they ever!

Unlike earlier this weekthe action was indoors, Greg and I squared off at the dining table is A/C  comfort.

Greg's set up, Athos top of photo, two musketeers on the left, Rochefort bottom left and a concubine  forward right.  In the middle, Favril attacks Thibeault.

This particular game is set for sword fighting. It did not disappoint. Star fencers were tested and wounded, the two main characters from the expansion battered each other to as little as one wound left.

Near game end,  Favril (blue team)and Thibeault (red team) both wounded still standing, Wolodovsky prone, Rocheforte wounded.  The Blue team lost  a musketeer, both guards that joined. After the photo, Longinus kills Athos; guard at bottom right moved toward, shoots Rochefort , who dies.

Barely squeaking out a win for the Red team, the points all came near the end.  Trading winning back and forth on the scenarios brings the Red team slightly ahead overall.

Next week is a new scenario scheduled for Friday.

Good stuff Joe - inside with aircon sounds the way to go! The game board looks really nice here - you need to get all the figures painted to enhance the look! :)

I painted six figures just for this and the next scenarios. Then Greg uses Rochfort, making me substitute the only unfinished figure on the board. Juliana is quite the challenge for a color scheme. I have maybe 40 to go for all the figures to be painted in all the sets.

those two figures look perfectly like they are fencing.

Great looking figures, even better when painted, and it is clear you're working you're way through them!

Iain, thank you. Keep watching these, more scenarios coming up with more figures...most of which have paint on them.

Mon Dieu! The Garden is supposed to be for lovers, no? It doesn't seem much love was lost in that one!
