Hartwell tavern main building ready for paint.
Well, assembled but not primed & painted.
And the doors work! The sign is a nice touch. Can you imagine the Concord Militia Company just outside?
The website of Things in the Basement has a download on painting the kits that gives some tips. I may try some of the ideas.
Second floor, see stair well in back right corner. Chimney has fireplaces on both floors.
The first floor. Feels like a playful drinking place, or it would be with out some April morning muster volleys...
Side and rear views..Instructions say not to glue the roof on nor place fixative on the upper floors.Keeps them 'in play' if you need it.
Now to paint some P-40's for tomorrows game. A red roof, brown clapboards, white windows next stop!
Comments
Lawrence, yes I will attempt to document some of the painting process. Also on the bridge kit as well.
Keith, gonna try to do it justice. I am going to visit Concord late spring, will take interior details down and make a final detail pass after. In the meantime, exterior painting.

James,
Bar? That is part of the research on site. You know, to make authentic.
