Big reprise of a old favorite

Next Saturday the 11th is the day I will reprise my role of  Zargon, evil sorcerer and keeper of the dungeon in HeroQuest.

Having procured the new edition and dragooned two of the old players, I will host the four doughty adventurers in the first couple adventures. I have a lot of cardboard and plastic to re acquaint with before then.  My wife and daughter will be the magic user and elf, respectively. My granddaughters will play the barbarian and dwarf.

The re release is a copy of the older game, just a little bit bigger version of the actual playing board and nicer figures and components. There are plenty of reviews of the new kit on You Tube but you will see some of the figures and fixtures during the AAR.

We last played when my children were in high school, the grand daughters are actually a little older now. Of course, I never grew up when it comes to this stuff.

Yes there will be photos.  Grinders, fries, and fun this Saturday. Film to follow.

A real classic. Looking forward to the battle report. We play a HeroQuest game each year over the Christmas break. My daughter now plays the role of Zargon and they love the game.

I agree. I like the component upgrades.

That you have not played in one is a testament of how strong historical wargaming is in your area then. I will take photos and put more work into explaining the background of things in the game. It will be about a week.
