The dread January blog entry 0f 2025.

This year, so much to do.

No, not complaining about chores, talking about the painting schedule and possible new projects.

There are a few things that I would like to ask you for your feedback.

AD 1666 is down to some thirty figures to paint,  all the available figures are collected.  In the early stages of delivery,  I show cased the figures for most of the original factions. Many of the bands are painted and could be coaxed back for photos.

She's laughing at me. Put me in a game, whydoncha?

Her friend is called 'Harlequin'  and both are mercenaries for hire in the AD1666 game.

The AD1666 games played by the Friday old guys,  when properly photo recorded,  are popular.  Would you appreciate a review of the factions, now painted, and some detail on how the characters contribute? I know an occasional inside joke occurs in these games, a background knowledge of the factions  might be helpful?

The Imagination campaign rumbles along, I have spoken with the players to set up situations that occurred on the map; next the play out and reporting happen. There are several land and naval games to play coming up.

Is the banner inclusion of "Imagination campaign " in the post title enough warning for those uninterested people?

Why the concern?

It is a question I would like to hear your opinion on, there will be other posts in the same vein, as the Blitzkrieg on Lilliput is getting closer to fruition.     In other words, more imagination in a different time period.  Is there a better way to handle these ?    Many of our Friday games are linked, but I do not want to have the system turn away readers.

Old Flames of War units being hired by the professionals.
( In other words, more old stuff sees the light of day. )

Some things never change.....

Of course there will always be reports on new units joining the appropriate really useful box. And Friday game reports.

After a brief January sojourn into space empires via Galactic Knights  I expect Pulp, Cthullu and air campaigns in February, Silver Bayonet  in Italy in March.  Subject to change as per the butterfly effect.

Hey Joe....Happy New Year!
I for one would like background and images of the various AD1666 factions, if you feel like posting them.
I would not worry too much about whether what you want to play or post about, appeals to others....it's your choice what you play and write about!

Keith, Happy New Year! Glad you like the AD 1666 posts, I think the factions will be a good start. I looked at the last few month's entries and how many views. I found some interesting things about what is viewed and what lies dormant. Remember the pb & j exchange from a couple years back? That held more attention than some unit uniform articles and batreps. Likewise, aircraft oriented entries often are low interest.
I don't think that I would change what I play, but if it is a bore to most then the machinations of the 675th Krasnograd Fighter Wing will be recorded in journal form. You will still see photos of new toys, of course.
