1941 cdtob notes to series of battle scenarios

So the project has  morphed into a series of scenarios where the overall force list will be set and known to both sides. With units all over the examples of how to move, shoot.

We will have the Russian order a battle in this country these will include the rifle Brigade and some supporting artillery anti-tank and armor units that will appear in the military Western District as well along polish Russian border established after the 1939 incursion by Russia. Reinforcements by the schedule that appear in or for the Western military District will enter on the turn shown. All of the forces will be drawn from the Barbarossa 25 supplement.

This approach should mean the concept of learn  through play can be supported, and scenarios with advanced rules can be showcased.  If I am careful in the pre-game preparation.  I will get to use Paint more often .

Looks like one of the maps from Fire in the East.

Jonathan, yes in all its glory. A very useful set. I have all the Europa series maps. From Cadiz to the Urals, Narvik to the Suez. Also have the 'Damned Die Hard" set and one covering East Africa forming Kenya and Ethiopia. I may have a use for them some day. (sheepish grin.)
Maps only or games too? I have a large collection of Europa games as well. Not sure if they will ever see the table again.

A very useful looking map Joe....sounds like you have quite a few of them?!

Jonathan, The maps are the survivors as most all the other game components were lost to a basement flooding more than a quarter century ago. I believe the " Damned Die Hard" have the rules and some counters available in my 'stacks' . Still, the maps have their use, especially for campaign settings. From what I remember, I doubt the tenacity to set up and play the Europa games is available to me.

Over 30. The Fire in the East set Jonathan referred to has I think something like 10 by itself. Truly was a 'monster' game.
Looks like Bathtub Barbarossa to me!

Sounds like a good use of salvage, nice map and I'm looking forward to Barbarossa! ( not Barbara's as google kept trying to make me say!)
Best Iain
