Meanwhile, back in the Imaginations

In the Kaiserlich dominions, the recent influx of recruits and colonels  has come 'round to where several regiments were ready to receive their field gear. Backpacks and bedrolls, canteens and sword or bayonet hangers aren't cheap, but distributed to units ready to take the field.

Actually the use of sticky tape to hold a couple dozen pack assemblies for the Austrian line units lead to the assembly ritual which seemed to me at least as stirring as, say, the issuance of the eagles in some other armies.   All three regiments of line now have packs, with more to come.

Not to be out done, the dominion of Konigliche is debating the raising of additional units to be called upon in times of dire need. These units , drawing upon older or younger troops than the line regiments will wear a modified uniform and hold the title "Landwehr" in the service.

What do I want with them?

Other irons in the fire.....

 Test model for more Cossacks.

  Finally getting some done.

A dozen or so to go.

Nightmare fuel.
