Austrian limber team and riders.

Started in April....
using the Army Painter contrast/fast paint for brown leather

In order to move artillery around the battlefield  commanders need limber teams.  The Austrians in my collection are no exception, having receiving recent expansions means I need to start working on their 'needs.'

Hence the Fast Artillery  Battery six horse team.  Yeah, in for a penny, in for a pound.

It is the first procurement, a foot battery version with only four horses and suitable caissons will also be purchased in the future.

A base coat of Parchment (Ceramcoat) with washes of Brown Velvet (Ceramcoat) are the main colors for the horse. Riders start in Paynes Grey with a wash of a very charcoally grey I got from Reaper as a freebie. Yellow plumes, Black facings.

Now I have to scrounge up a 8 or 9 inch piece of basswood for a base.

Oops, been awhile,  made a base, finished detail.  I need to start on the traces,  so this  is the team going for the limber.

Something is missing, adding limber later this week.

Well, better late than never. Should have finished these guys for the first campaign game.  Hopefully the next game will see the team in action.
