October's update
Planes have been taking a lot of attention these last few weeks. The two bags of 1/300th scale planes have arrived and a further box of P47s in 1/200 th scale planes have bee purchased. 74 Stukas, lots of He111's and Ju88's suggest that the Blitz on Lilliput will feature lots of planes.
Hurricanes and Spitfires
Oh, and Wing Commander, , the Blood Red Skies supplement containing lots of ideas of interest has also been purchased. Year availability of models of various aircraft, a campaign system full of lovely chrome, some thoughts on bombers and ships, all presented for thought. My P-38s and Greg's Zeros continue training as Friday last week found us short a player for Silver Bayonet with Roger being ill.
In the cellar of doom, micro armor and terrain for such is being pushed to the front of the project queue as November is coming. I need to get the map to both players for the first move... 7 Days to the Rhine River starts soon, first Friday in November in fact.
Will the BAOR and Bundeswehr
be able to turn back the Red Tide?
Comments
Looking forward to seeing all of these in action.
Yes, two... one on a Friday and one a Saturday. Both versus Greg, and I expect one against Roger soon. We won't settle on a campaign until after December.
As to livery, the Stukas will have at least six unit schemes since they will pose as fighters in the Flames on Lilliput campaign in the states previously known as minor.
Ray & El Greco,
It is a lot of planes/targets but I can see the Battle of Britain board game, the Flames on Liiliputt campaign and possibly the Blood Red Skies games all benefiting.
Keith, yes some will get a coating scheme soon, in between the other projects. You will wait only another week or so for the 7 Days to the River Rhine games reporting.
I think 10mm would be an awesome choice of scale for 7days....
From what I have seen on your blog, there are some overlaps of interest, cross fertilization, perhaps,
Creativity in the scenario set up is the key in the rules.
