Off the painting Queue

A few mounted officers and aides. I need to do a few steps in basing on all of hem, but they are far enough along to show:

First up, two Danish Light Dragoons seen circa 1812

A British officer from one of the packs in the Perry range, I think from Spanish campaign.

From the Danish range, General Ewald, commander of the light troops for the Danish Army. ( Yes, the same guy as in the AWI Hessian contingent.)  His horse will be black when finished...as will his tack, but that will be brown.

They will be in the scenes fom one of the upcoming bridge battles.

More later.

Some interesting figures there, Joe

Keith, thanks for the kind words.

The Perry Danish range is not huge but does have some gems. The subtle poses are what they do best, the messengers are a treat.

I can only hope that when they add to the Swedes (cough, cough) they include some mounted officers, aides....maybe an 1813 Bernadotte figure. In the mean time I have just over 1000 unpainted figures in the queue. Should keep me busy.

Coming long nicely a bit of grass will sort them out ?

Matt, they definitely will get some things sprinkled on their bases, they stood still long enough for me to paint them. 😍

More to come.

Danes!
(Just finished binge watching The Last Kingdom with Jan).
Very later uniform for the light Dragoons, who were still in Tarleton type helmets even in 1813.

Thought you'd enjoy them. And you are right the hats are later.

Great looking figures Joe, really dynamic poses and your painting of them is tops as usual.

James, Thanks for the kind words. The figures are all Perry, great poses, especially since Ewald and the Danes are from one pack!

These figures are done with a mix of craft, Vallejo and Army Painter fast paints.
I am playing with how to use glaze medium to get the fast paint experience over more colors. We will see.
