Swedish Light Dragoon unit complete

The Perry's range for the Swedish Army is frustratingly incomplete. It concentrates up to the loss of Finland. When you do get a unit made, there are so many interpretations.

The unit represents the Nyland Dragoons.

Upon loss of its recruiting area in 1809 it was disbanded and the area it recruited from became Russian..  Table strength was to be 550 of all arms.

One more cavalry unit to go!

Nice work Joe. I am still hopeful that one day the Perrys will release Swedes for the 1813 campaign.

Very nicely done!
It is frustrating when you can't get all the figures you need for an army.

Lawrence, Ben, it is hard to wait for something unpromised. In the meantime, I have gotten a few things from Eagle Miniatures, the bigger guns, a limber team, the Liv' regiments, sappers and staff officers. The Carbineers and Lifgarde Til Hast are next on the list, although pricey at almost one hundred pounds as a project.

Matt, glad they were 'home' this time around for you.

All in all I am happy with this unit.

Nice additions, Joe. The Swedes seemed to change uniforms as often as the Spanish, and the loss of units when they were forced to cede Finland to the Russians was a big blow.

Peter, Meanwhile, Scania is deciding what to do with all these new troops.
